This last weekend Dream Pod 9 attended the Otakuthon Anime Convention he is our home town of Montreal, Canada. The convention draws an attendance of around 20,000 anime fans, with guests from Japan, a vendors hall and lots of events like concerts, costume contest and a large gaming hall. Dream Pod 9 was setup in the Gaming Hall running demos of our Jovian Wars and Heavy Gear Blitz miniature wargames, we took a photo of the table setup, see below.

Dream Pod 9 will be heading off to Gen Con next week (August 17th to 20th, 2017) in Indianapolis, USA. The convention has an attendance of over 60,000 gamers and we'll have a booth in the main exhibitor hall (Booth #1130). We'll be running demo games of Jovian Wars and Heavy Gear Blitz at the booth, if you attending come by and say hello and try a demo. We'll have Heavy Gear Blitz products at the convention for sale, but no Jovian Wars products as we want to get all our Backer Reward Packages out to our Backers before making the new ships available to the general public. We are preparing all the ships this week to display them in a glass case at Gen Con, we'll get another update post made before we head off to show everyone photos of all the assembled resin ships. We'll also be promoting the next Heavy Gear Blitz Kickstarter to make plastic miniatures for the core models of the Peace River, NuCoal, and Utopian factions of the game, its tentatively scheduled for mid-September. Also we'll be promoting the next Jovian Wars Kickstarter for make ships for the Venus faction of the game, with a tentative launch in Late 2017 / Early 2018.

Back to Jovian Wars News now, we received all the acrylic bases at the office the end of last week and starting packing up some of the resin ships. To see a few photos of the box of bases, resin part, and more convention demo photos click the following link to the Jovian Wars Update page.
