Several years back Phil sculpted some small Fleet Scale Lancer and Wraith Fighters for Jovian Chronicles. They were made for a planned Fleet Scale version of Jovian Chronicles, that was never completed, back around the time we did our Heavy Gear Fleet Scale game. We finally located the models that had been stored away and added a small ball socket hole on the underside of each of them. These small fighter 2 squad packs are now available to purchase for the first time. If we get enough interest (orders) for the new fleet scale fighters there will be fleet scale exos in the future and maybe a few new spaceships as well. Here is alink to the Jovian Chronicles Miniatures section of the online store for all interested in supporting a rebirth of Jovian Chronicles.
Plus, we also have some of the Jovian Chronicles 2nd Edition Lightning Strike Rulebooks and Companions still available for purchase.
Crowd Funding Pledge Total
(Pledges as of March 13th, 2015)
Our Extra Crowd Funding Drive end on March 1st 2015. Thank You All for helping us to unlocked the Kodiak and Ammon miniatures and add one of each to the Core Starter Set.
As mentioned in our previous update the mold manufacturer made the final fixes to the Molds this week. Then emailed us photos of the front and back of the plastic part sprues for the Grizzly, Cheetah, Ferret/3 Drones, Kodiak, Spitting Cobra, Iguana, and King Cobra Gears. We made a combined photo (see below), click on the image to see a larger version with more detail. There is still a bit of dimpling visible on the sides of the Grizzly and Kodiak lower legs, but we have been informed that when the plastic injection machines are properly adjusted for temperature and injection pressure the dimpling in those areas should go away.

Our modeler, Tony, has been busy on another 3D Model for the Heavy Gear Blitz line. This time he's showing a bit of loving for the Colonial Expeditionary Force players out there with a new VTOL aircraft for the faction.

Alain over at Fusion Models finished up the production molds last week and ran the first 2 copies for the Capital Games Expo, which we attended over the weekend. Attached is a photo of the assembled Scorpion unpainted resin, with a photo of all the parts included in the kit below it.

Our new 3D modeler, Tony, finished up the Titan Attack Helicopter project last week. The Titan is used by Terra Nova's Southern Factions and besides being an attack helicopter it also serves as a transport and can carry a full squad of infantry. The preview image included shows two views of the 3D model from front left and rear left. We'll get an exploded parts view image up in our next post on Tuesday.

I posted recently what a typical day in the workshop looks like and received some excellent feedback from different people who were interested in some of the nitty gritty that happens during a typical day. I've had a couple of weeks to reflect on that blog entry and there was one thing missing. What happens when things go right.
You see the most common problem I have in the day to day work when I'm in the workshop is that most often the problem is that very little goes right. And by right I mean "up to my perfectionist-ic standards of what could as a quality cast". The issue is not that I have a problem when things go right but rather than the rarity of it happening means that when the opposite happens it can be it's own issues.

One fact that we accept with Gears is that they are mass produced on an assembly line, but they are still machines, each one vastly more expensive than equipping an infantry soldier. You don't throw just any person into your machine if you want it to fight at full effectiveness.
