DP9's Extra Funding Campaign for our Peace River & NuCoal Core Plastic Miniatures is now live on the DP9 Pledge Manager website. Our Kickstarter raised over $40K CAD, unlocking our initial funding goal and numerous stretch goals, but not the $50K CAD goal we really wanted to reach. Hence our Extra Funding Campaign, please support Dream Pod 9 as an Outside Backer and pickup a new plastic miniatures army for Peace River, NuCoal, and/or Utopia at $70 CAD each, or one of our other great Backer reward level deals and maybe a few Add-Ons as well.

Login and create your pledge manager account, select your reward level and any add-ons and then checkout paying your pledge and fixed shipping cost. Backer reward packages are expected to start shipping in early 2019.

Kickstarter Update: Utopia Plastic Model Sprues Preview Shown To Scale!

The Utopia model sprues have finally been finished up for the plastic miniatures of the Commando, Recce, and Support Armigers and Drones. Checkout the preview image below with all six model sprues shown to scale and with rulers in millimeters (mm). We fit all of the models stock and variant weapon parts on the sprues. The plastic injection mold we'll be getting made will include 1 of each of the Armiger sprues and 2 of each of the Drone sprues.

We have sent off all the 3d files (Utopia, Peace River, and NuCoal) to mold manufactures in China to get final quotes for the best price and then we'll get the mold production started later this month. We expect the molds to be finished before the end of the year and shipped to the plastics manufacturer we have selected he in Canada to get all the plastic sprues popped in early 2019.

Northern Dragonfly Hopper (VTOL Aircraft)

No April fools day joke today, just great news, the new Northern Dragonfly Hopper (VTOL Aircraft) is back from rapid prototyping. The first set of production molds was finished up this weekend and the kit is now available for pre-order on the Dream Pod 9 Online Store.

Northern Infantry Sent Off to Prototyping

The new Northern Infantry have been sent off to rapid prototyping and should be back in the next few weeks. 
 
Jeremy took the time to make a new image renders of the four different models to be included in the new Northern Infantry Platoon (Commander with pistol and 3 Troopers) and the six models for the Special Infantry Pack (Rocket Launcher, Mine Layer, Mortar, Anti-Gear Rifle, Spotter and Sniper). Enjoy!

HGB Feedback Friday Week 6: Followup & New Poll Questions.

Last week we only had 20 members voting on the polls, its a bit low, so we'll leave the polls open to get more feedback from players. For those who did vote we had 90% wanting us to lower the TV on gears with Snub Cannons and Bazookas, like we had in the rolled back January 2018 Living Rulebook Update. We had 65% wanting the Anti-Vehicle Rocket Pack (LRP, MRP, HRP) Area Effect Trait changed to AE:2" and AP:1 added,but we also got a lot of feedback saying that the MRP and HRP should get larger Area Effects, we'll be asking poll questions this week on that. For our Artillery Rockets getting Armor Piercing trait “AP:1” added 90% like that idea. And 80% liked the Combat Weapon getting getting and “AS” Anti-Structure Trait added. But for our increasing the Grenade Launcher PEN levels by 1 to 8/9/10 poll we had 60% for it and 40% against, and some great feedback in the comments, we'll have to do some more playtesting and comeback to this in the future.

Decision overload

There is a fundamental problem in the modern world, and the game world that has a name: Decision Overload. It's particularly obvious during the holiday season when people start looking for presents. You go to a store and you look at your options. You want to buy a present but there's fifty options with so many differences. Your brain can't process all the options so you end up making your decision based on incomplete information, or just not making a decision at all. 

In game terms decision overload can occur in different parts of the game.
